This term, we will be offering two Tafseer courses: Tafseer Juz Amma and Tafseer Surah Kahf

We will be studying the translation and in-depth Tafseer of selected surahs from the 30th Juz of the Qur’an. We will be studying the stories behind the revelation of certain surahs as well as taking lessons from each surah that we can implement into our daily lives. Students will connect with commonly recited surahs in a new and profound manner which will help them to have a better relationship with their Salah also!
Date: Every Saturday from Saturday 6th January 2024
Time: 10.30am – 12pm
Duration: 10 weeks
Prerequisites: None (you do not need to know Arabic)
Age: 12-18 years old
Gender: Girls
Cost: £25 (workbook will be posted to you – there may be a delay in Royal Mail delivery due to the bank holidays)
How will the course be delivered: Online through Zoom
Aim of the course:
- To be able to understand the translation of each Surah
- To engage with the Tafseer of each Surah
- To be able to take lessons from each Surah which you can apply to your life
- To be able to connect and become closer to the Quran at a deeper level
- To memorize some keywords in Arabic

Teaching style: All sessions are interactive and are filled with student-led activities. Online learning tools such as Quizlet and Kahoot will be used to engage students. Students will have access to resources through our Google Classroom.
Assessment: Students will be assessed through online quizzes and submission of home learning tasks.

Students will study the reasons behind the revelation of each story as well as take lessons from each story that we can implement into our daily lives. We hope through the study of Surah Khaf students are able to develop a new profound connection with the Quran!
