
Ustadha Sumiyya Iqbal graduated from Madrassa Al Zahra Alimiyyah in 2010 and is a Graduate of MSci Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Queen Mary University in 2011. Currently she heads the Science department and is the Teaching and Learning co-ordinator at Azhar Academy Girls School. She has been teaching Islamic studies and the Alimiyyah course for the last 10 years at various institutes. She also delivers talks and workshops for her local community. She is one of the founders of Teens Inspired and teaches Arabic – Level 4.

Ustadha Zahra attended Madrasa Al Zahra Alimiyyah in 2015 and is a Law Graduate from London South Bank University. Currently she is a Qualified Primary School Teacher teaching in a school in Hackney. She is an avid member of the charity community and has completed various challenges to raise money. She has been teaching a variety of the online Teens Inspired Courses and is now working as a Teens Inspired Coordinator alongside Ustadha Sumiyya.

Zahida Suleman is an emerging scholar of the traditional Islamic sciences who is currently specialising in Fiqh and Ifta’ at Whitethread Institute. Alongside teaching Islamic studies and ‘Alimiyya in local institutes, she works as a Healthcare Chaplain in a NHS trust. In addition to her Islamic education, Zahida has also completed a BSc in Public Health.

Ustadha Sabera Ismail is the head of marketing and design at Teens Inspired. She has been working with the youth for over 10 years with various projects in different settings. She has a Bachelor’s of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from City University. She also has extensive experience in freelance design, extending over 15 years.

Ustadha Iqra is a graduate from the Alimiyyah programme. She has spent time teaching Islamic studies and working as a Pharmacy technician. Iqra teaches our Bake – Along sessions, Seerah course and plays an essential role in the Teens Inspired marketing team also.

Ustadha Maryam Aswat graduated from her Alimiyyah studies at Jamia tul Imam Muhammad Zakaria in 2015. After teaching at the institute for one year, she went on to complete her Hifz at Madrasa Mueinul Islam in South Africa. After returning she studied advanced Fiqh and Tafsir at Whitethread institute. Currently Maryam is running a Hifz class for girls and is completing her degree in Mathematics.

Ustadha Nusaybah Molvi is a graduate from Azhar Academy Alimiyyah and currently teaches Alimah and Islamic studies to teens. She is a maktab teacher during the week and teaches our Teens Inspired Tajweed course on the weekends.

Ustadha Mariam Navagar graduated from Noor ul Islam Aalimiyah institute in 2014. Since then she has been teaching Alimiyyah at Madrassah tul Haq. She has also completed Shariah Consultancy Course in UK family law and marriage. In the last few years she has also gained Diplomas in education and training, business administration, team leadership, customer services and health and adult social care. Most recently, she achieved a degree in Islamic banking and finance. She teaches our Arabic Level 1 course.

Ustadha Sumaiya Hossain is currently working as an English Teacher, based in High Wycombe. She is also an Aalimiyyah graduate from Jamea-Al-Kauthar, Lancaster and possess just over seven years of teaching the Aalimiyyah curriculum to adults and teens. Ustadha Sumaiya currently leds the Teens Inspired Book Club.

Nuha Reza is an A-Level student who is currently in her final year of the Aalimiyyah course. She is also an avid bookworm however being in education and having a busy schedule meant she couldn’t read as much as she would have liked to. Hence, she initiated the Teens Inspired book club to give her and other young teens the opportunity to read more and to be able to come together and connect through discussions based on the different types of books read in the book club.
